Château Guiraud reveals its ambitions for 2017 at Point Rouge, Bordeaux

On the 7th February, Château Guiraud invited more than 200 people from the world of Bordeaux wine to Point Rouge in Bordeaux.


2016 Log Book
Xavier Planty, co-owner and manager, acknowledged the many dynamic marketing operations led by the Château Guiraud brand ambassadors over the course of last year. 307,959 bottles sold and delivered in the past year have filled up the 2016 logbook nicely.
–    2 years worth of travelling in one year
–    1 tasting per day
–    6.5 sample bottles drunk per day
–    1 aeroplane taking off per day
–    1 country visited per week
–    10 times round the world in distance travelled, one journey to the moon
Markets are spreading out more evenly and consolidating across the globe. As Xavier Planty explains: « The repositioning strategy is bearing fruit. It has been five years since we redesigned our label, the organic conversion has also allowed us to secure market share: I support organic winegrowing unconditionally, it will be the key to making fine wines in Bordeaux »


2016 vintage logbook
Luc Planty, vineyard manager, assures the wines’ quality. « 2016 is set apart by its exceptional character, which demanded particular care and attention, leaving the team not a moment’s rest« , he confirms. And so, Château Guiraud began its 6th certified organic vintage.
